We (Leabo and I) were watching ‘Prince of Egypt’ – the story of Moses. There’s a part where Moses realises his duty to free the Israelites while he is still living in the palace.

God could have used him to make a change while he was there but the father showed he was more interested in Moses’ character and His perfect timing for things to work out.

God sends us into deserts or quiet periods so we can introspect and rebuild to teach us to Work With Him, not for Him, be obedient and learn to trust Him.

Paul reminds us to test ourselves whether we still in the faith:

***Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?

2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV *

Here are some questions to evaluate yourself and use this time to move back into the correct direction of growth:

#do u spend time with the Father daily?

#do u know His presence?

#do u engage the Father in prayer?

#how’s your study of His word?

#would u be able to give an account of why u believe?

#are u becoming like and living like Christ?

#do the issues of this world weigh u down or do u leave them at His feet?

#are your prayers only about self or do u intercede for others?

#do you know your God given gift according to 1 Corinthians 12/Romans 12?

#do you have a heart for the lost?

#do u know the will of God for your life?

#how’s your personal worship of the Father?

#do you praise Him regardless of the circumstances?

***For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV***

These question aren’t there to condemn but to challenge you to be spiritually prepared for when the Father is ready to use u like He did all the great men and women of the faith…
