A few days back I was talking to a friend, sharing with them regarding these tough times. I shared with them that instead of us trying to avoid hardships, we should rather seek to learn and grow through it. Keep in mind that God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy, because holiness has eternal value. I see God’s goal as a way to help you learn how to become more like Jesus Christ, and you often can do that best by going through tough times and developing a stronger character in the process. (I always think of how gold is refined when it comes to this). So don’t expect that you can avoid tough times; accept the fact that they will and do inevitably come into your life whenever God allows it. Instead of trying to avoid them, ask God to use it to accomplish good purposes in your life. Follow your faith, not your feelings. Choose to believe God’s promises that He is always in control of your life, He always loves you, He will never leave nor forsake you – no matter how you may feel when going through hardships.
I’ve also learnt that instead of asking “Why?” rather ask “How?” God may or may not choose to reveal on this side of heaven why He has allowed a particular hardship to enter your life, so asking Him “Why?” may not bring you an answer that you can understand right now. However, when you ask God “How” you can best respond to the hardship you’re facing, He will often reveal some of the good purposes that He wants you to fulfill as you go through the situation.
Family, friends, let’s learn to follow God’s will. You can already know God’s will for you in the midst of any type of hardship is to grow into a closer relationship with Him that translates into displaying Christ-like behavior regardless of your circumstances.
I’d like to leave you with the scripture of Mark 4 from verse 35, Where Jesus calms the storm. This is the time to seek more of Him and focus on Him and leave what’s troubling us. Let’s keep the faith, let’s keep on being strong and let’s keep on keeping on in Prayer and Praying for each other. I love you all and can’t wait you see you soon. Be blessed…
